Code Compliance and Stability

Richard Sarre is authorised to conduct MCA code compliance and tonnage surveys through MECAL (Marine Engineer's Certifying Authority Limited) for yachts of up to 24m loadline length. MECAL are the exclusive Certifying Authority for the States of Jersey, allowing Richard to conduct code compliance surveys for vessels of up to 150GT irrespective of loadline length, and tonnage surveys for vessels of up to 400GT, for Jersey registered vessels. Richard also continues to offer consultancy services and conduct stability surveys for all sizes of yachts considering code compliance and supplies his own calibrated weights for stability tests undertaken locally along the French/Italian coasts.
